"Back" function

Forums:

Hello,

When reading a DAISY book with AMIS, and you jump to another page or reference, is it possible to go back to the point you were before jumping?

Thank you,
Gerasimos

I don't think there is a keystroke or menu item for this type of "back" function. The only workaround I see is to place a bookmark at the current location before navigating to another position. And then the "go to bookmark" function can be used to return to the desired location in the book. Prashant

What about footnotes? When you navigate to one , how can you get back to the main text?

Regards
Vasiliki

In AMIS it is possible to choose the reading behaviour for skippable items like footnotes and page numbers.

When reading of footnotes is selected, the focus automatically jumps from the footnote reference to the footnote text and then returns to the location just after the footnote reference to continue reading.

Click READING OPTIONS in INFO menu to choose the skippable items that should be automatically read during playback.
