Report

This training course focused on NCC only production using MyStudio PC and Sigtuna DAR 3 and full text production using Sigtuna DAR 3.

There were 10 participants including 6 visually impaired in this training representing 7 different organizations from Dhaka & Chittagong.

Most of the participants were able to create at least 3 different DTBs during this training. However, there were quite large number of people who were not really familiar with the usage of the computer, the content of the training course was needed to be ajusted during the training period. The biggest adjustment was to have a small group of people in the different room doing the XHTML markup session while others practiced NCC only project in the training room. It was decided since a lot of people had a problem with operating the computer and more time would be needed for the practice on the XHTML markup while we only had a limited time.

For this training course, after all the materials were prepared, Prashant took the most of the part in the training. Also, Roslina who participated in the Focal Point Training in Malaysia and the International Trainer's Training took a part in MyStudio PC session. There were 6 visually impaired people who needed a lot of help and Roslina assisted those people quite nicely. Since it was her first time actually training others in English, she tended to be a bit fast and not clear sometimes but it would have been a good experience for her.
