DAISY Access Options

Explanation of Permissions and Roles

Account Manager(AM)

The Account Manager has access to create/approve other accounts for this member organization. There can be multiple Account Managers per Member Organization.

Primary Contact (PC)

The Primary Contact is set up as a contact person to be used as the ultimate authority for information pertaining to the DAISY Member Organization. The Primary Contact does have implicit Account Management privileges but is not necessarily responsible for frequent interaction with content updates or permission requests.

Organization Representative (OR)

Organization Representatives have access to 'member-only' content on the DAISY website. AM, PC and PM permissions implicitly include OR access.

The Account Manager (AM) has access to create/approve other accounts for this member organization. There can be multiple Account Managers per DAISY Membership Organization.

Role Options for Each User

A link is enabled for the Account Manager to add or remove users who are associated with each DAISY Member Organization. Note that if there is a single AM or PC designated, they may not be removed until another user is added to that role.
WARNING: If the current Account Manager removes the AM role from his/her own account, he/she will no longer have access to the Account Manager functions.

Add Registered User as Organization Representative

If an individual at a DAISY Member organization requires member access on the DAISY website, he/she must first have a valid user account on daisy.org. He/she needs to create an account by clicking on 'Login' and then 'Create New Account' and then reply to the message that is sent to them to verify their email address.

The Account Manager can enter the email address of a registered daisy.org user to add authorization as an "Organization Representative". This takes effect immediately. Each user may only be affiliated with a single DAISY Member organization.
